Three ways to pursue the perfect shot.

West Wallsend Rifle Club participates in Target Rifle and F Class competition. Each discipline shares a commitment to accuracy, patience, and sound range practice.

Iron sights · traditional precision

Target Rifle

Target Rifle is the traditional form of fullbore target shooting. Competitors shoot from the prone position using iron sights, with a strong emphasis on consistent technique and wind reading.

Scoped long-range shooting

F Class Standard

F Class Standard is a prone long-range discipline using a telescope sight and restricted calibre/equipment rules. It rewards close attention to conditions and repeatable rifle handling.

Open equipment class

F Class Open

F Class Open is a prone long-range discipline with broader equipment choices. Shooters still face the same essential problem: deliver precise shots while reading changing conditions.
